We understand that the process is usually something that is new for someone who needs our services. That is why we want to lay out some information here, so you can feel better prepared heading into uncharted waters!

When Should You Consider Buying a Stairlift?

The first aspect to consider is the level of priority to be placed on getting a lift. The most important sign is once one starts having difficulty climbing stairs, or difficulty balancing while walking. Too often, we wait because it is not our first choice to have assistance climbing the stairs. Unfortunately, it only takes 1 fall to incur major injuries!

Also, although you might think the bathroom is the most likely place for an accident to occur, that’s not the case! Fact is, there have been articles written stating that stairs are the most likely place for one to experience an accident in their home. It’s also important to note that there are alternative reasons one might need a stair lift other than the senior age group including disabled children and younger adults to those with epilepsy and other debilitating ailments. Our team can help you evaluate if it is time to consider installing a lift!

What Kind of Stairlift Should You Purchase?

After determining the need for a stairlift, the next step we will walk you through is figuring out exactly what you need. Whether it be an outdoor or indoor, straight or curved, and a wide variety of other factors, including the width of your staircase, if there is a landing midway, the amount of steps you have, etc. At that point you will also be able to discuss any customization you may want or require.

At Dermer, we are proud to install what we consider the finest and most respected manufacturer of stairlifts on the market. Bruno! We urge you to do some research because we believe you will quickly come to the same determination we know.

After talking through some of the details over the phone, one of our experts would come by for a FREE stair lift consultation which includes an estimate for all types of lifts with no pressure or obligation. There we can finalize all the details and hone in on the exact cost of your project. Once all the wrinkles are ironed out, we can schedule the install and get all of the material set and ready on our end.

What To Expect During Your Free Stair Lift Consultation

On the scheduled day, our team will install your lift quickly and cleanly! We pay attention to details, and install every lift as if we were doing it in our own home. With the highest level of diligence and pride, we leave every job knowing 100% it was done right.

However, like anything, stairlifts do not last forever. Should there ever be an issue or need to have your stairlift looked at, our experts are Bruno certified and can quickly diagnose and fix any and all issues you may be experiencing.

For example, The manufacturer Bruno recommends that their lifts receive maintenance one time each year performed by Bruno certified technicians with one exception.

Bruno has a patent on their indoor straight rail system with some unique features including the safest and thinnest rail in the industry, taking up the least amount of space on your stairs. It also has a constant charging strip going the length of the track (as opposed to only an upper and lower charging station), and a hidden gear rack.

So, it is virtually impossible for your lift’s batteries not to receive the proper charging. However, experience proves that outdoor lifts located near the salt water and sand require more and frequent maintenance. Every Bruno stairlift we sell comes with a warranty on parts and labor, whether new or used, straight or curved. The warranty differs depending on the model.
